From my perspective the training that helped them the most was hitting and fielding. Your attention to detail and one on one coaching ensures all reps are value added reps. It's the difference between productive practice and non-productive practice. I tell Alex and other kids I have coached to practice like a champion. Training with you is an integral part of that.
Hitting-the way you break down the swing into steps (hands, step, turn, finish) makes it easy for the kids to learn and retain the essential parts of a solid baseball swing. In addition, the different hitting stations (balance beam, tee work with and without resistance, soft toss, live hitting) provide the necessary reps in different settings to reinforce and set the muscle memory so the kids just naturally swing in the proper fashion.
Fielding-again breaking down the essential functions of proper fielding into steps (body position, glove position, hand position, elbow up to throw, foot work) makes it easier for the kids to learn. By incorporating a number of different fielding drills, the kids stay focused, have fun and learn how to become better ball players.
Finally, your positive attitude and demeanor with the kids makes the sessions fun, and increases the players confidence.

Logan (Razor) Rezac 2010 Coon Rapids 11 yr. old all star
The 2010 baseball season for my son, Logan Rezac, proved to be the most rewarding season yet and it all began with pre-season training with Joe Boyce. Joe's small group training enabled Logan and his teammates, Jake Sorenson and Alex Wilke to refine their baseball skills at a personal level, transfer those skills to the field and become significant contributors to their American Little League All Star team clinching the MN State Championship this past August!! Joe's knowledge and ability to connect and produce results proved to be so valuable for the boys. The individualized attention Joe gave to Logan, Jake and Alex allowed the boys to get the maximum training out of the pre-season time put in. Logan is looking forward to his continued pre-season training with Joe and is enthusiastic about continuing to strengthen his specific baseball skills. We would highly recommend Joe's training to any player who has the desire to take it to the next level!!
Terri Rezac

Charles had two goals for the 2010 Little League season: hit his first homerun, and earn a spot on the Coon Rapids American All-Star team. His offseason workouts with Joe Boyce played a big role in helping him achieve both.
Joe's use of video analysis showed Charles ways to refine his mechanics. Progressive hitting drills and tailored direction helped him generate more power and consistency. Repetition and positive feedback from Joe resulted in a very disciplined and confident approach to hitting. Charles' batting average soared, and he was able to hit 7 homeruns, including 2 during District All-Star play.
Joe's patience and attention to detail helped make 2010 a very memorable year for Charles, and he is looking forward to continuing work with Joe into the future!
